HomeMy WebLinkAboutInitial Plan; Zoning Review IPZR2006006 - Project Description10/01/06 To whom it may concern, Regarding LANDMARK LIQUOR 8491 Atlantic Ave Huntington Beach , CA. 92646 Tel (714)-536-1177 It is the intention of the owner to pave and stripe, the current pavement. Due to the current conditions, it has become an Insurance issue and liability There are many problems with the current parking lot. Pot holes, corroded and cracking pavements, damaged or missing wheel stops, outdated parking lines, cracked or broken curbing and cracked flow lines. If left as is or to delay the replacement of the pavement would not only cause a hazard to the customers of Landmark Liquor but to any public safety employees Also the time frame is such that with the winter months coming, weather conditions will enhance this condition and also delay the ability to pave due to rain conditions There is about 10,150 square feet of pavement to be paved. Currently, I have Contracted with Imperial Paving and have a start date of 10/23/2006. It is my intention to get this completed as soon as possible It has come to my attention from the Planning department of Huntington Beach that landscaping might be required and a variance be required for the installation of a 6' wide planter along the West wall of the parking lot. This is not feasible, since doing so would ultimately reduce the amount of parking. It would also cause congestion and or hazards for vehicles and pedestrians entering or exiting. Which if required by the City to be installed, I cannot be held liable I thank you for your consideration in this matter and would ask that the project be approved by the Planning department and a waver of the variance be approved due to the conditions it may cause If required by the City Sincerely, Date - S -o
