The Sweat House is a SPX pilates studio that has evolved the traditional pilates to
incorporate strength training and cardiovascular properties. It is an instructional studio
that includes private training and small group classes. We use licensed equipment
which does not exist in other studios and allows for a more diverse cliental. Huntington
Beach currently has no other businesses with the same system and we believe it will be
a valued addition to the city.
The studio is located at 16479 Bolsa Chica Street Huntington Beach, CA 92649 and is
approximately 1200 square feet, (23.1'W x 5aL). Approximately 704 square feet to be
used as instructional area, 184 square feet as reception and waiting area, 158 square
feet storage area, with the rest of the square footage, (154 sq ft), being the bathroom
and customer storage area.
Approximate hours will be between 6am and 9pm M-F and 8am -12pm SAT 8am-12pm
sun.
The studio will have one to two employees with trainers being able to rent the space or
instruct small groups under contract with the studio.
We are submitting this application for approval to obtain a certificate of occupancy and
business license.
The areas within the complex are all retail, Starbucks, Quizno's, H & R Block. there is a
Taco Bell to the east and we are surrounded by small complexes serving mainly retail.
Anyone can be served by the workout because it can be tailored for just about any
condition and for many different results. The largest percentage will likely be 18- 45 with
45+ being the minority both male and female.
