Dear Mr. McMahon:
The City of Huntington Beach Planning and Building Department has reviewed and approved
your extension of time request received on March 8, 2009, on Lot Line Adjustment No. 2005-
014 for the consolidation of three parcels (two 25 ft. wide by 112 ft. deep parcels and one 105
ft. wide by 152 ft. deep parcel) into one 21,560 sq. ft. parcel. The project site is located at 6762
Corral Circle (terminus of Corral Circle, west of Saddleback Lane). The project was originally
approved by the Planning Department on January 17, 2006.
Pursuant to the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance (HBZSO), Section
251.16, and a legal doctrine known as nunc pro tunc or "now for then," the extension is granted
for a one year period from the effective date of approval of the entitlement (or the most recently
approved extension of time). The HBZSO permits one year extensions of time. The legal
doctrine of nunc pro tunc allows retroactive action on the extension of time request on the
previously approved entitlement provided the City has not initiated a revocation process on the
permit. Thus, Lot Line Adjustment No. 05-014 is valid until January 17, 2011, with all
previous conditions of approval to remain in effect.
Should another extension of time be necessary, a written request shall be submitted to the
Planning and Building Department with all applicable fees a minimum 30 days prior to the
expiration date. If you have any questions about the status of this entitlement, please call the
