I spoke with Bill Holman at PLC this morning concerning the AP numbers. He had the same information as our maps and checked the old book which listed the numbers you thought were the correct ones. Bill was going to fax over a copy of the updated tax map to you. The parcel lines are correct; they extend out to the westerly line of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 35. This is how the Title Company has the parcel description in their report. Please reference the underlying document "Conditional Certificate of Compliance No. 96-4" Inst. No. 19960095325 to verify this, which I have enclosed with this transmittal. No changes were made to the legal descriptions so I have not enclosed those. At the request of Public Works' staff, these same two parcels have now been incorporated into the boundary of revised proposed Tentative Tract Map No. 16490, Bel Air, and are identified as Lots 10S and 106 on said map. We concur with temporarily suspending processing of both lot line adjustment applications at this time for a period of ninety (90) days, and we would agree to withdrawing both applications upon City approval of Tentative Tract: Map No. 16490 and recordation of the map in substantial conformance with the TTM dated May 21, 2003. In discussing the status of this application with the project planner, I understand that we have not yet received written comments from the Fire Dept. on whether the line as proposed is acceptable. As Ron has indicated verbally to you, we want to make sure that the proposed line provides sufficient buffer for the "potentially developable" areas of Holmby in relation to the contaminated Cove areas. I understand that you recently told Ron that Fire would want the line to do just that. The problem is that: 1) we need Fire to tell us if the line as drawn accomplishes that goal and 2) we need it in writing. The Planning Department is subject to mandatory processing deadlines by the State and had to send a comment letter to the applicant, PLC, without Fire Department comments. PLC is aware that we are trying to resolve the location of the line and is being very cooperative during the delay. However, we would like to wrap this up, and it is my understanding that we have sufficient information to "draw" the new line. Because Duane and Chief Dolder have been heavily involved in the Cove problem, I thought they might be a resource for you in determining if the line is acceptable, and I wasn't sure how familiar you were with this whole issue. (As an aside, Chief Dolder after the new lot line is decided on, we will be processing a consent to sale to City Council for the new area that is being added to the Cove property-transfering this area from PLC back to Chevron.)
