2. Purpose:
The purpose of this business is to promote Character Development, Healthy life style, and Citizenship
through the practice of Tae Kwon Do (Korean style martial art).
3. Square footage:
The intending space to use has a usable area of 1610 square feet. The training area will be of 1010
square feet leaving 600 square feet for visitor's area, restroom, office, and changing room. See attached
sketch.

This letter is no notify you that, Huntington Beach Black Belt Center, a family otibfited Tae Keeton Do
School, is proposing to move their facilities from their current location at 9946 Hamilton Avenue,
Huntington Beach CA 92646, to 9887 Hamilton Avenue Huntington Beach, CA 92646. This new location
has a usable space of 1,610 square feet.
Huntington Beach Black Belt Center promotes Character Development and self-defense classes for
children and adults through the practice of Tae Kwon Do.
The hours of operation for this Tae Kwon Do studio will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday to
Saturdays and from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sundays.
Pursuant to Section 241.24 of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the
Neighborhood Notification process is required. You may review the proposed plans at the Planning
Department, 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, CA, from 01/14/2011 to 01/25/2011, or contact the
Planning Department at (714) 536-5271. All comments must be submitted to the Planning Department
prior to the expiration date for review of the proposal.
Under the provisions of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the action taken by
the Director of Planning becomes final, unless appealed. A person desiring to appeal the decision shall
file a written notice of appeal with the Planning Department within ten calendar days of the date of the
Planning Department's action. The notice of appeal shall include the name and address of the appellant,
the decision being appealed, and the basis for the appeal. A filing fee shall also accompany the notice of
appeal. The appeal fee is $494.00. The appeal period starts at the end of the 10-day review period.
