Project: Installation of Privacy Gates at Seaside Terrace in SE Huntington Beach by the
HOA.
The Seaside Terrace HOA represents a group of 10 homes on Terranova Circle in •
Huntington Beach west of Newland between Atlanta and Hamilton.
•••••• •• •
It is a small private street that ends in a cul-de-sac but since the homeowners jmoveil in
about 2 years ago we have had 2 home robberies, some vandalism of several cars and : • . •
constant traffic from non residents even at late hours at night We also haves teenagers
cut through our area even though it is a private street and climb over the 6-foot wall 1004, •
separating out property from the surrounding neighborhood. We are concerljJ tlat they
will fall and injure themselves even though we have a sign posted that says this reet is
private and is restricted to residents only.o:::.
For these reasons we are requesting permission to install privacy gates at the entrance to
Terranova Circle. We have talked to several fence companies and plan to contract with
Nowlin Fence Inc. (17223 Rosecrans Ave, Norwalk, Ca 562-468-1129).
His proposal includes:
24 foot x 6-foot double swing gates
4 foot x 6-foot pedestrian gate with key lock
2 Elite swing gate operators
A free exit loop
Four safety loops
A phone entry system
A Fire Knox system with strobe.
I have already shown these plans to Ron Thompson of the Fire Department who gave
preliminary approval, to Bill Janus of Public Works and Bob Stakowski in Traffic
Management who also thought the plans I showed them looked ok.
Our mailboxes for the entire tract are located outside of the proposed gated area at the
junction of Lochlea and Lomond so there will be no impact on mail delivery.
I have talked to Jones, Cauhl who were the engineers for the Bonanni project and they
said that the easements for sewer, water and storm drains already exist and are outlined
on the included tract maps.
