Please enter your comments for this Entitlement application by or
before 01/23/2009. An expedited review of the entitlement will be greatly appreciated. In
an effort to assist with your review the following is a list of Planning's issues:
1) The privacy gates do not allow for proper stacking/queuing of vehicles off of
Lochlea. A min. of 20 ft. should be provided as measured from the proposed phone
entry. In the event that the gates do not open, a standard vehicle or delivery truck
should be able to make an unrestricted three point turn. Backing into Lochlea is
strongly discouraged.
2) Usage of the phone entry requires a visitor to temporarily park their vehicle to
operate the device because (a) the phone's location is on a vehicle's passenger side
and (b) the phone's close proximity to the gate misaligns with the side windows of a
standard vehicle.
3) A minimum of 24' driveway width shall be provided for fire access.
4) The mechanical equipment may be located at or below the base flood elevation
(BFE) within the flood zone AE, which will require such equipment to be located a
minimum of 1' above the BFE.
