Thank you for your positive recommendation on my IPZR. I understand your
concerns about the parking problems on Intrepid. Your concerns are my reality. Would
you reconsider your objection to the garage extension? I'm trying to resolve my parking
problems within my own property rather than adding to the congestion on the street. I
have a unique situation with the radius lot line, the off set curb cut, and the angular
garage walls. With the extension I can park my truck containing my tools in the garage
and still have access while parking a second car on the driveway. Without the extension I
can't park my truck in the garage or legally on the driveway with out extending onto the
sidewalk. Within the last 2 years I have received two warnings for vehicles on the
sidewalk and five tickets for either weekend or sweeper day violations.
Cantilevering the second story will not resolve the parking problem or add to the
architectural appeal of the exterior. With some minor changes I can keep the garage door
opening the same and still maintain ample driveway. In this neighborhood, with its
limited parking and storage a more usable garage is almost a necessity. Your positive
recommendation or alternative solution would be greatly appreciated.
