> Zoning: IL Industrial Light General Plan: I-F2A-d-(sp) (Industrial -0.75 Max Density - Design -
Specific Plan Overlay)
> Proposed project would place a total of 540 solar photovoltaic laminate panels atop the Peck
Reservoir structure.
> At peak production, the panels would produce up to 77 kW of renewable solar power, which
compromises approximately 75% of the current energy needs based on total energy consumed
by the facility.
> The project will also consist of one on-site equipment enclosure which will house the power
inverter and associated electrical equipment. The enclosure will be 14' wide by 22' long and be
surrounded on three sides by a new 6' high concrete block wall to screen the equipment from
view on all sides. The new block wall will match the colors and materials of the existing block
walls it will be built around.
> Approximately 308 square feet of existing landscaping would be lost with the construction of
the inverter enclosure. However, no trees are required to be trimmed, removed or relocated as
part of the construction plan. Additionally, the exterior of the new enclosure will measure
approximately 58 linear feet away from the property line abutting Springdale Street.
> Community Services, Public Works, Building and Fire Departments have reviewed the project
and no design concerns have been raised.
> Planning recommends the DRB recommend approval to the Director of Planning and Building
