HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdministrative Permit APX2008021 - Project DescriptionSANDLOT HB Softball Training Academy Executive Summar The purpose of this document is to describe the business plan of Sandlot HB. Sandlot is an approximately 10,000 square foot softball instructional facility to be located in Orange County, California . Sandlot will feature full service, enclosed "netted cages" with state of the art automated equipment and Pro-Grass artificial turf in all cages. The facility will also feature cable mounted retractable netting so that the batting cage area can be opened up into an indoor practice field. The facility will specialize in pitching and hitting instruction while placing an emphasis on youth character development and sportsmanship in all sporting activities. Sandlot believes that participating in sports is an experience that can be enhanced through practice, repetition and proper instruction. While improving sports skills, our training facility will focus on building positive character traits in each and every player on and off the field. Our motto is Self Esteem through Self Improvement . There are a number of instructional and motivational programs that will be implemented as described in Appendix A of this document. Sandlot has entered into a licensing agreement with The Sandlot Baseball and Softball Academies of Colorado. The Sandlot Baseball and Softball Academies is expanding across the country through an aggressive "licensee" program. Licensees gain access to The Sandlot Baseball and Softball Academies proven business model, buying group discounts, collective marketing program, and copyrighted instructional programs. Licensees will also be guided by The Sandlot Baseball and Softball Academies' experienced management team with over 100 years of baseball and business accomplishments. As a licensee of The Sandlot Baseball and Softball Academies of Colorado, Sandlot has taken The Sandlot Baseball and Softball Academies' business model and reshaped it for the central Orange County market.
