NOTICE OF FILING STATUS
Application : INITIAL PLAN ZONING REVIEW NO. 07-006 (CARL'S JR. DRIVE-
THRU AND PARKING LOT RE-CONFIGURATION AND RE-
STRIPING)
Applicant : Dan Schultz, 21196 Jasmines Way, Lake Forest, CA 92630
Request : To re-direct the drive-thru lane for a fast-food restaurant and re-stripe the
parking lot.
Location : 6882 Warner Ave. (south side of Warner between Edwards and Goldenwest)
Dear Mr. Schultz:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Department has reviewed your application
received and dated August 24, 2007 and has determined the application to be incomplete. The
following information and/or corrections are requested in order for the Planning Department to
deem your application complete and continue the review process of your application:
MINIMUM APPLICATION RE UIREMENTS:
1. Proof of property ownership, e.g., deed, title insurance policy.
2. Property owner authorization designating the applicant to act on behalf of the property
owner.
3. Plans drawn to scale (minimum 1/8" = 1' or F'= 30').
PLAN CORRECTIONS:
The following revisions to site plan dated August 24, 2007 are required for staff approval as
consistent with the City's adopted Design Guidelines:
1. Provide trees within northernmost planter along street frontage for screening of drive-
thru aisle.
2. Provide an architecturally compatible canopy over drive-thru pick-up window area.
3. Extend landscape planter and curb along west side of drive-thru aisle.

4. Increase landscaping along west interior property line by removing five parking
spaces (#15-19) and provide two-way drive aisle.
5. Remove one parking space (#1) for secure egress of drive-thru aisle.
6. Allowed minimum 25 parking spaces with 1/100sq. ft. ratio.

The comments from the other City departments are attached for your review. Please contact the
respective department to discuss their comments.
Please submit the above-noted information and/or corrections as soon as possible in order for the
Planning Department to continue the review process of your request. Please note, additional
comments and concerns may be generated upon receipt of the requested information. Also,
completion of the corrections and/or the submittal of the additional information does not presume
approval of the application requested.
