Under the provisions of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code, the
action taken by the Planning Commission is final unless an appeal is
filed to the City Council by you or an interested party. Said
appeal must be in writing and must set forth in detail the actions
and grounds by and upon whigh the applicant or interested party
deems himself aggrieved. Said appeal must be accompanied by a
filing fee of two hundred ($200) dollars and be submitted to the
City Clerk's office within ten (10) days of the date of the
Commission's action.
In your case, the :.ast day for filing an appeal and paying the
filing fee is March 4,i9Q7
Provisions of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code are such that any
application becomes null and void one (1) year after final approval,
unless actual construction has started.

REQUEST: To allow a change in face in a non-conforming pole sign
for a 2-year period.
LOCATION: 6491 Edinger Avenue (Northwest corner of Edinger Avenue
and Edwards Street)

ACTION: February 20, 1991
FINDINGS FOR DENIAL - LIMITED SIGN PERMIT NO. 91-1:
1. Strict compliance with Article 961 will not result in a
substantial economic hardship to the applicant. The building is
located on a corner with clear visibility from two arterials.
2. The proposed sign may be detrimental to property 'Located in the
vicinity of such sign because the type and amount of signage is
out of character with sign permits issued since 1986.
3. The appl=cant has already been provided with adequate opportunity
to identify the building and use because Special Sign Permit No.
90-11 allowed for 512 square feet of wall signage, which exceeds
the maximum of 200 square feet allowed by code.
