BOX 190 CALIFORNIA 92648 Date: Februar 22 1991 NOTICE OF ACTION Applicant: San Pedro Electric Sign Company, 701 Lakme Avenue, Wilmington, CA 90744 Subject: LIMITED SIGN PERMIT NO. 91-1 Your application was acted upon by the Huntington Beach Planning Commission on Februar 20 1990 and your request was: WITHDRAWN APPROVED APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS (see attached) DISAPPROVED TABLED CONTINUED UNTIL Xx Under the provisions of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code, the action taken by the Planning Commission is final unless an appeal is filed to the City Council by you or an interested party. Said appeal must be in writing and must set forth in detail the actions and grounds by and upon whigh the applicant or interested party deems himself aggrieved. Said appeal must be accompanied by a filing fee of two hundred ($200) dollars and be submitted to the City Clerk's office within ten (10) days of the date of the Commission's action. LOCATION: 6491 Edinger Avenue (Northwest corner of Edinger Avenue and Edwards Street) DATE OF ACTION: February 20, 1991 FINDINGS FOR DENIAL - LIMITED SIGN PERMIT NO. 91-1: 1. Strict compliance with Article 961 will not result in a substantial economic hardship to the applicant. The building is located on a corner with clear visibility from two arterials. 2. The proposed sign may be detrimental to property 'Located in the vicinity of such sign because the type and amount of signage is out of character with sign permits issued since 1986. 3. The appl=cant has already been provided with adequate opportunity to identify the building and use because Special Sign Permit No. 90-11 allowed for 512 square feet of wall signage, which exceeds the maximum of 200 square feet allowed by code.
