a) To initiate the improvements to the existing dwelling at 509 Main Street, Huntington Beach.
It is the desire of the property owner to remodel the sec. to floor by adding 136 square feet.
At present the footage of the second floor has sloped ceilings and dormer spaces. It is the
intent to raise the plate line of the second floor to the standard 8'-0" plate line. At present the
walls that do exist on the second floor are single wall construct- dun-insulated). In raising
the plate line of the second floor the walls will be brought to Title 24 standards.
b) The block and area across the street is residential. This project is to remain residential and
is intended to upgrade this residence and the neighborhood.
Existing residence:
First Floor -968 sq. ft.
Second Floor 690 sd. ft..
Total existing:1,658 sq. ft.
New Addition to
Second Floor -136 sq_ft.
New Total Square Footage: 1,794 sq, ft
The residence has no employees. The owner works
