Ordinances (Zone Changes, Code Amendments, Precise Plans of Street Alignment). 1. The petition must be typed or printed and filled out completely. 2. If the applicant is not the property owner, a letter of authorization from the property owner authorizing the applicant to act in his behalf must accompany the application. 3. All ordinances require final action by the City Council and do not become effective until 30 days after the second reading of the ordinance. (Ref. S.511 at seq. City Charter) 4. If the Planning Commission has recommended denial, the City Council may deny a petition without holding a public hearing. (Ref. S9878 Huntington Beach Ordinance Code) 5. All petitions for a zone change must be accompanied with 30 plot plans that have a minimum size of 8Y2." x,11" (and 10 plot plans 24" x 36") and conform to the following requirements: a. The applicant may provide such materials as desired which further support the petition. SUPPLEMENT B. General Plan Amendments ` 1. The petition must be typed or printed and filled out completely. 2. All General Plan Amendments require final action by the City Council after receipt of a recommendation from the Planning Commission. 3. If a General Plan Amendment would result in a zone change, the applicant shall, upon request, file the following material with the Planning Department: 30 plot plans that have a minimum size of 8'/z" x 11" (and 10 plot plans 24" x 36") which conform to the follnwing criteria: Draw to scale Indicate the scale Indicate the north point Plot the entire parcel Dimension all pertinent data Plot all existing physical features Indicate all street names Dimension to nearest intersecting street Name and address of recorded owner Nome and address of purchaser (if applicable) Name of applicant, address and phone number 4.
