We pre- so to provide such help by deve loping a site in Huntington Beach on the west side Springdale south of Edinger. the 150 rental unit development will generate a bedroom and population count similwr to a 75 unit two bedroom standard apartment complex, but with substantially l ess tenant created noise and tenant oriented problems. The proposed Huntington Villages will be an apartment development exclusively designed for and only rented to activ- individuals over the aae of 60 years The development will provide affordable units in a luxurious environment with covered secured parking and an extensive ammenity package, for 150 or more individuals fortunate enough to meet the age requirement, The Spanish design of the proposed tie velopment 15 terraced and staggered two and three story structure that maximizes available open space. Great sensitivity to surrounding single family residences was paid in the site plan, resulting in only two story structures near the residences and angling of the structure to reduce the visual impact The development consists of studios, one bedroom, and one bedroom and den units. Each unit will have fully equipped kitchens with dishwashers, a patio or balcony, smoke alarms, an emergency intercom system to the 24 hour staffed lobby,and full use of the pool, spa, putting green, shuffleboard, and exercise room with sauna A recreation room with an adjacent kitchen is also featured. Each floor has. conveniently located laundry facilities, elevators and trash chutes, The site is an excellent location for this type of development. A grocery or- restaurants, medical/dental offices, banks, a drug store and three chur%. :s are within walking distance, Carr Park is less, tnarf 1/2 mile and Meadowlark Golf Course is approximately one mile frow the site.
