Gentlemen:
During your meeting sched].ed for tod ou have scheduled a
continuance hearing for ondition&,l Exception - a request for
an exception to the three-se a .
In accordance with your instructions my husband, Willard D. Barnes,
was to have attended this meeting to answer questions or provide
information. However, his employer found it necessary to send him
out of town this week and he will be in Phoenix, Arizona until
Friday March 16, 1973.
Due to the requirements of my.position withrthe Huntington Beach
City School District, I am unable to be away from my job at the
time your meeting is scheduled.
We would appreciate it very much if you would be willing to delay
the continuance hearing on our Conditional Exception until next
meeting, which I understand is on Wednesday March 21, 1973.

Subject: Requested Time Extension for
Administrative Review #73-7,
(7130 Edinger Avenue)
Gentlemen:
We have been granted a Use Permit on the captioned
Administrative Revi--w, which expires January 17, 1975.
Due to a fluctu=.cing economy, our plans for a perma-
nent structure' had been delayed. After considerable
research, we have decided to construct a prestigious
two-story building (photo enclosed) and are now in the
process of preparing working drawings to submit to
your Building Department for approval. We plan to
commence construction on or around December 1 of this
year.
With this in mind, we respectfully request your Board
to extend our Use Permit to August 1, 1975, so we may
complete our project and have an orderly transfer of
our personnel and equipment to our new building.

A. TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS:
1. The plot plan received January 17, 1973, shall be
the approved layout.
2. Edinger Avenue and Parkside Lane shall be dedicated
to City standards.
3. A revised plot plan regarding driveway brake shall
be submitted to the Building Department for approval.
B. TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO FRAMING INSPECTION:
1. Fire alarm system conduit and appurtenances shall
be installed by the developer at locations and to
specifications provided by the Fire Department.
2. Landscaping plan shall be submitted to the Planning
Department for approval.
C. TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION:
1. The water, sewer , and fire hydrant system shall be
approved by the Department of Public Works and Fire
Department.
2. All utilities shall be installed underground.
3. Off -street parking facilities shall conform to
Article 979.
4. Parking compounds shall be screened with a combination
of fencing and landscaping. Said plan shall be approved
by the Planning Department.
5. There shall be no fence , structure or landscaping
constructed or maintained over 3 1/2 ft. high
within a 10 ft. by 10 ft. triangular area at the
intersection of driveways and streets or within a
25 ft. by 25 ft. triangular area at the intersection
of streets.
6. Edinger Avenue and Parkside Lane shall be fully im-
proved, including street trees , street signs, street
lights, fire hydrants, sewer and water ma in extensions.
D. TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF
OCCUPANCY:
1. Water supply shall be through the City of Huntington
Beach's water system.
2. Sewage disposal shall be through the City of
Huntington Beach's sewage system.
3.. The property shall participate in the local drainage
assessment district.
4. No structures, other than those shown on the approved
plot plan, shall be constructed within the project.
5. All applicable City Ordinances shall be complied with.

informed the Board that the Department of Public Works
recommends the previously approved driveway opening be provided.
Mr. Spencer further informed the Board that no traffic hazard
should exist in said location.
