In order to proceed with this location our retailers find it mandatory to have

Our justification for the use of this sign is as follows:
In order to generate sufficient sales we ne ed to be identifiable topass
through and word of r oath referral traffic. In order to generate this type
of trade we feel it is essential that we have visibility from Beach Boulevard,
If you will review this location on-site, you will see that the visibility
of the store is limited by landscaping, the pad directly in front of the
store and the close proximity of the adjoining strip shops to the north.
Therefore, in order to.identify this location sufficient signage is a must.

Our proposed sign does not adversely affect other signs in the area as Its
physical location does not conceal any existing sign, In addition, our
sign will not create undue glare nor be excessively bright thus detracting
from other signs in the immediate area.
This sign will not be detrimental to the surrounding properties as our
location is located in a commercial/retail zone along Beach BouleVard. It
is vex- common for signs of this sort to xist in these areas. In addition,
our sign will neither obstruct visibility nor detract from the other busi-
nesses in the i?rr?aediate area,

Identification is an integral part of our Liquor Barn operation. Our proposed
location is limited at best due to a lack of identification from Beach Boulevard.
In order to identify this location we need sufficient signage in order to pro-

The nature of the surrounding neighborhood is nine of commercial and retail
businesses. Many of the bosinesses are identified by signage. Our request
is not out of the ordinary asour sign is similar to those existing in the
areas The sign will be back lit and retangular like many of the other signs
looking for Liquor Earn,,
The attached sign elevations shows the dimensions of the sign. As you can
see, the base of the sign is located ton feet above the ground. This pro-
vides adequate see through visibility for both pedestrians and vehicl Ms.
In addition, the sign "is located thirteen feet east of Beach boulevard.
This provides addiLicnal visibility for those people exiting the site onto
beach Boulevard. In addition to the above, we feel the sign tower should
be a benefit to vehicular safety. The reason for our statement is that
Beach Boulevard is a highly trafficked thoroughfare. Without appropriate
identification we feel there will be a great deal of indecision in the
minds of those shoppers who are entering the site from Beach Boulevard.
We hope that you will agree that driver Indecision and the busy nature of
Beach Boulevard would definitely create a safety hazard for those people
ties. We hope you look favorably upon our request.
Very truly yours,
