Gentlemen:
On December 6, 183, the Planning Commission approved Administrative
Action No. € a :>, a request to permit the extended use of an
existing,nonconforming frestanding sign for a two year period.
The conditions of approval allowed the continued use of the
nonconforming sign until Decemhfr 6, 1985. At he r.onclusion of the
two-year period, the sign will be required to be made to conform to
all prodv.zsions of the Hutntington.P-teiach Sion Code. This may mean
removal of the sign in question, or alteration of said sign to
conform with the si n code.
Therefore,you are hereby requested to comply with condition numnber
I of Administrative Action No. 83-5 within thirty (30) days from
receipt of this letter.

restaurant located on the north side of Edinger Avenue, approximately
250 feet east of Edwards Street Mike strange announced that the
applicant indicated that because their project.planner was ill and not
present this evening that they would be requesting a continuance to the
next meeting Chairman porter stated that .normally the Commission is
will. ng to grant a continuance the first time it is requested.
Commissioner Erskine suggested that, public testimony be heard tonight
from these who were present. Mike Strange made the staff presen-
tation. He said that staff found that identification of the existing
restaurant could be accomplished with a wall sign within a landscaped
planter. Be also was in receipt of a petition from neighbors who are
opposed to,tb.: approval. of the spe:ial sign permit, which was dis-

complain about the noise that is ongoing in his opinion.
