The business I, Jimmy San Miguel, am proposing to place at 17701 Beach Blvd is a small hot
dog stand. The square footage of the site where our hot dog stand would be is 2,982 feet.
Liberty Liqour Store is the business that currently occupies the space at 17701. Our hot dog
stand, Jimmy's Hot Dogs, would be located on the left side of the liquor store entrance. We
would sell hot dogs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. One employee would
work the stand.
We are submitting this application in order to place our stand at 17701 Beach Blvd. Jimmy's
Hot Dogs had previously rendered its services for 13 years at the H.B. Home Depot. Our stand
was the only source of income my family had for most of these years. Many of our customers
told us they appreciated our services. Although we continued to give great service we were
replaced by a larger food unit in 2005.
North of 17701 Beach Blvd. are located restaurants and retail. South is occupied by light
industrial and retail. West would be a residential area and East light industrial and medical. .
The population we would be serving would consist of commuters on surrounding streets, tenants,
pedestrians, medical personnel, businesses etc.
Upon speaking to the Planning Department of Huntington Beach I was informed that the project
site is not located within a Hazardous Waste and Substance site pursuant to Section 65962.5 of
the Government Code.
