Johnson is proposing a Large Family Daycare (12-14 Max. school age only, 7-9:30am 12-6pm school year and 7am-6pm summer, 3 rotating aides, 1800 sq. ft. interior wi 12 dining chairs) at 8951 Bainford Drive, Huntington Beach, CA. Pursuant to Section 241.24 of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the Neighborhood Notification process is required. You may review the proposed plans at the Planning Department, 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, CA from 3/2/07 to 3/15107 or contact the Planning Department at (714)536-5271, All comments must be submitted to the Planning Department prior to the expiration date for review of the proposal. PLEASE BE ASSURED, that in our situation, Johnson Family Daycare has already been in existence for many years and this notification constitutes NO changes in the present size and/or operation of the daycare; none are desired. We are simply complying with the City of Huntington Beach's new zoning requirements. Under the provisions of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the action taken by the Director of Planning becomes final, unless appealed. A person desiring to appeal the decision shall file a written notice of appeal with the Planning Department within ten calendar days of the date of the decision being appealed, and the basis for the appeal. A filing fee shall also accompany the notice of appeal. The appeal fee is $409.00 for a single-family dwelling property owner appealing the decision on his/her own property.
