Kumon is a different kind of after-school learning program designed to help children master the basics of math and reading. It gives them the skills and confidence to succeed in school ... and beyond. Kumon is essentially a home study program where children come to the Kumon center twice a week for around twenty minutes each time. While at t~ gumon center, the children are given proprietary educational materials to complete at tite ~nter for that day and they are also given proprietary educational materials to take hpW~' The.t1:M~rials which they take home must be completed by the next center visit (generally tw0"to"three days later). This new location is approximately 1290 sq. ft. The pepter will b"e open on Tuesdays and Fridays and operate from 2:30pm to 6:30pm. The Kumon Math and Reading Center of Huntington Harbour is a franchise business and Kumon North America, Inc. is the franchisor. As a franchisor, Kumon North America, Inc. has requested that the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Huntington Harbour move to a commercial space to conform with their new guidelines for operating a Kumon center. The population served by the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Huntington Harbour is children as early as preschool and children throughout primary (elementary) and secondary (middle/junior high school, high school, and college) school. It's ~ways preferable to start young and begin developing skills early to get the greatest cumulative benefit.
