Huntington Beach Hot Yoga offers a complete system of health and fitness through the teachings
of hatha yoga to help people heal and grow physically, mentally, and emotionally. Our purpose is
to create an environment of conscientious human beings committed to improving their health and
revitalizing their spirits.
Huntington Beach Hot Yoga provides a safe, clean, caring environment with the highest level of
professional instruction. We have been in business for 10 years. It is a sacred space where people
are welcomed, connected and cared for. We offer The Dayton Method Hot Yoga sequence is a
challenging series of 28 postures (asanas) and 2 breathing exercises (pranayamas) practiced in a
heated room suitable for all ages and ability levels as well as Vinyasa yoga classes.
We plan on expanding our services by adding another 1200 square foot of space at 8855 Adams
Avenue in addition to the current 2700 square foot of space at 8853 Adams Avenue including
another yoga room and additional bathroom and showers.
We will be expanding our yoga class schedule by offering other types of hatha yoga classes.
Additionally, we will offer additional Yoga Alliance 200-hour Dayton Method Teacher Training
Programs. We currently offer one 200-hour Dayton Method Teacher Training Program per year
and hope to add up to four more teacher trainings in order to open more studios outside of
Huntington Beach area. We are rebranding our studio name as well as creating a new website to
facilitate this growth.
The square footage is 1200 square feet, with a yoga room being 800 square feet. Hours of
operation will remain the same: Monday - Thursday 530 am - 10 pm, Friday 530 am - 8 pm and
Saturday - Sunday 8 am - 6 pm.
All instructors are independent contractors and we have 1 manager as an employee . Currently, we
have 22 instructors on schedule with 42 yoga classes per week.
The uses to the North, South and West are homes and to the East is another retail center with
homes behind it.
The population of our clientele base is health minded people looking to improve their mental,
physical, emotional and spiritual well being.

Dear Occupant,
This letter is to notify you that Huntington Beach Hot Yoga is proposing to add to its
current space, using the adjacent tenant's suite which is vacated. The addresses of the
project are: 8853 and 8855 Adams Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA 92646. Pursuant to
Section 241.24 of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the
Neighborhood Notification process is required. You may review the proposed plans at
the Planning Department, 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, CA from approximately
May 30, 2013 to June 8, 2013 or contact the Planning Department at (714) 536-5371. All
comments must be submitted to the Planning Department prior to the expiration date for
review of the proposal.
Under the provisions of the HB Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the action taken by
the Director of the Planning becomes final, unless appealed. A person desiring to appeal
shall file a written notice of appeal with the Planning Department within 10 calendar days
of the date of Planning Department's action. The notice of appeal shall include the name
and address of the appellant, the decision being appealed and the basis for the appeal. A
filing fee shall also accompany the notice of appeal. The appeal fee is $494.00. The
appeal starts at the end of the 10 day review period.
