HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdministrative Permit APX2013011 - Project DescriptionMay 15, 2013 To whom it may concern: mafarchitects architectural design/planning/entitlements I, Gil Westwell, am the owner of the property located at 15601 Sunburst Lane, Huntington Beach, California, have read and understand the statements including the filing requirements for the Reasonable Accommodation Procedures, Chapter 17.77 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code I hereby authorize MAF Architects/Marco Fernandez to act as my representative and to bind me in all matters concerning the above said application. This letter also serves as the description of the reasonable accommodation request, to encroach 10" into the side yard to the North of my property to built an elevator enclosure to allow my wife to travel to the second floor of our residence without an effort, since she has had surgeries that are limiting her ability to walk and climb stairs, we have enjoyed our residence for many years and we would like to make it accessible for many years to come. The location of the elevator enclosure has to be on the North side yard to access the Master Bedroom located in the second floor from the Family Room, located on the ground floor. Pursuant to Chapter 17.7 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code, the Neighborhood Notification Process is required. You may review the proposed plans at the Planning Department; 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach, CA from May 16, to May 26, 2013, or contact the Planning Department at (714) 536-5271. All comments must be submitted to the Planning Department prior to the expiration date for review of the proposal. Under the provisions of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the action taken by the Director of Planning becomes final, unless appealed. A person desiring to appeal the decision shall file a written notice of appeal with the Planning Department within 10 calendar days of the date of the Planning Department's action. The notice of appeal shall include the name and address of the appellant, the decision being appealed, and the basis for the appeal. A filing fee shall also accompany the notice of appeal.
