BOX 190 Huntington Beach , Calif. 92646 Re: General Plan Ammendment-Ponderosa Homes Gentlemen: LAND P LANNING Our client, Ponderosa Homes , is request1.ng an ammend- ment to the General Plan for that property idqntified as the "mud dump" located at the Southwest corner of Hamilton Avenue and Magnolia Street. The request is to change the designation on the General Plan from Industrial ',o Residential. The proposed ammendment is a logical extension of the residential that now exists to the East and is compatible with the park now existing North of Hamilton. it The additional plus in favor of this propoR-;< is that a piece of property, which now is perhaps the biggest thorn in the side of Huntington Beach due to the numerous complaints regarding odor , public safety, and appearance , is improved and the thorn is removed.
