This letter is to notify you that Brain Balance Achievement Centers is proposing to open a learning center for
child development at 19365 Main Street Unit 104 & 105, Huntington Beach CA 92648 . Pursuant to Section
241.24 of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the Neighborhood Notification process is
required. The details and description of this learning center are contained in this letter for your review.
• Description: The center will service children from Kindergarten through 120, Grade with various
learning challenges , including children having been diagnosed with ADHD , Dyslexia , and other
learning challenges.
• Program: The programming will be individualized , based on each child 's unique needs . Services provided
will include diagnostic assessments and sensory motor and cognitive stimulation sessions . These sessions
will be delivered on a 2:1 student/coach ratio and each child will attend three times per week , normally on
an after-school basis.
• Employee and Staff Counts : We have on staff 4-5 employees and typically have a maximum of 5 students
on site at any given time. Our hours of operation, based on demand, will extend up to: 9am-8pm Monday-
Friday and 9AM-2pm on Saturday.
• Physical Space : The Huntington Beach Store is 1831 square feet . The space will consist of staff offices,
sensory/ motor testing and stimulation rooms , cognitive testing and stimulation rooms, and a nutrition
office.
You may review the proposed plans at the Planning Department, 2000 Main Street, Huntington Beach CA from
1/20/2014 to 2/5/2014. (Minimum 10 Days), or contact the Planning Department at (714-536-5271). All
comments must be submitted to the Planning Department prior to the expiration date for review of the proposal.
Under the provisions of the Huntington Beach Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, the action taken by the Director
of Planning becomes final, unless appealed. A person desiring to appeal the decision shall file a written notice of
appeal with the Planning Department within ten calendar days of the date of the Planning Departments action. The
notice of appeal shall include the name and address of the appellant, the decision being appealed, and the basis for
the appeal. A filing fee shall also accompany the notice of appeal. The appeal fee is $494.00. The appeal period

I dropped off all the plans/paperwork for the Brain Balance Project going in at the SeaCliff Village site yesterday. At the time I did not
have the proof of mailing and a project Description.
The girl at the counter did not know who the planner might be on this administrative permit.
Can you do me a favor and add these documents to the file.

That would save me a 45 mile round trip.
We will be following up with building dept. plan submittal early next week.
