That does help in getting a better idea on what we can do. You are correct, the front of the house does havethe wood decorative siding already. I know we would have no problem at all agreeing to a similar decorative siding to match along the backwall (facing the backyard/garage) of the proposed addition. I would even agree to update the front of the house with a natural rock siding to replace the current wood siding & match the sameto the rear wall to improve the overall look. My only question would be why we would need to do the samealong the sidesof the house in between the fence & the block wall that no one cansee. The plans call out for an existing house of 43.5' x 21'= 913.5 sq. ft. and an existing garage of 20' x 24' (drawn to scale) = 480 sq. ft. The existing structures total 1,393.5sq. ft.
