Pursuant to requirements attached to the application to the Director of Planning for an
Administrative Permit I submit the following:
I propose to construct a new single-family residence where my existing residence stands
that I recently purchased on a larger than average lot for Sunset Beach. My goal is to expand my
new residence over a new garage. This new residence will be larger than my existing residence,
but not as large that I could do. Iām trying to keep a two-story look, even thou I am three stories
Per plans attached.
As noted in the enclosed photos, the neighborhood view from Bayview Drive will be
beautified. This beautification will maximize the use today and be beneficial to myself and the
neighborhood.
Finally, by allowing the permit, it will allow for a more appealing structure and better use
of an existing property. My neighbors to the East, North, and West of 16715 Bayview Drive have
larger residences than what I propose. I would like to be granted the same and they support my
proposed addition.
My existing residence is 1 and 2 stories in height and I would like to expand to a new 3
story residence to maximize the lot while preserving its character. Without this permit, I cannot
build the residence to accommodate my growing family that includes my children and their
children when visiting.
This letter also serves as Infill Notification for the proposed single-family residence that
will be three stories in height for a maximum of 35ā. The total square footage of the residence
will be 4,757 sq. ft. of habitable area and 730 sq. ft. of garage area. Plans are available for review
and comment at the Community Development Department from January 08 thru January 22,
2018.
Our request for a nominal permit is substantiallyjustified by the benefit to me and my
neighbors.
