The Department of Community Development must obtain a written release from AQMD to show the applicant has complied with this law. The check list on the reverse side is designed to help the applicant and the building division to meet these requirements. f 1. The applicant (the same person who applies for permits from the Department of Community Development) must complete the check list which can be obtained either from the Department of Community Development or at AQMD. i 2. If all braes in the list are checked "no", the Building Division can accept the check list as the release. { 3. If there are any "yes" answers in the list, the applicant must contact an i AQMD engineer by calling (714) 396-2000 to find out whether air permits are a required for the proposed construction project. l 4. COMBUSTIBLE RUBBISH OILY RAGS OR WASTE MATERIAL kept within a building, shall be stored in metal containers with tight fitting lids. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS are required to be serviced annually or after each use. Hood systems require semi-annual service or after each use. All services shall be conducted by a state licensed agent. I FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS require owner/operator to conduct quarterly maintenance inspections j on sprinkler syste= and semi-atnually on standpipe systems. State Fire Marshal authorized certification of both systems is required at five year intervals.
