The acquisition of the commercial parcel between Beach Blvd. and Florida Street, on the south . side of Yorktown is necessaryto improve the street and pedestrian access and increase the P likelihood of future grant funding for the project. Funding Source: 94/95 Fiscal Year Gas Tax Funds Recommended Action: 1. Authorize the Director of Real Estate Services to acquire for the City the property at 712 Yorktown Avenue for a total amount not to exceed$67,000; and 2. Authorize the City Clerk to accept the deed on behalf of the City. Alternative Actions : Forego this right-of-way acquisition. Analysis: Design is complete for a project which is comprised of a series of spot widenings along Yorktown Avenue, between Delaware Street and Beach Boulevard. The Florida/Utica Task Force has identified this as an extremely important project.
