THIS INDENTURE made this 2nd day of October, 19", between DON S. MOZLEY, as
Tax Collector of the County of Orange, State of California, first party and THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH, of the State of California, second party;
WITNESSETH: That, WHEREAS, the real property hereinafter described was duly sold
and conveyed to the State of California for the non-payment of taxes which has been legally
levied and which were a lien upon said property under and in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, the right of redemption of said property has been terminated as provided
In Division I Part 6 Chapter 8 Article 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, and second party
has purchased said property in accordance with the provisions of said Code; and under an
agreement dated August 7th, 1944, with the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Said first party does hereby grant to said second party all that certain real
property in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, described as
follows:

Tax Collector, and he duly acknowledged to me that he executed the same freely and voluntaril
and as such Tax Collector, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.

of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, accepting Deed to Certain j
Property and Authorizing the Recording of said Deed;" a certified copy of which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof.

RESOLUTION NO. 953
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON j
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING DEED TO CERTAIN PROPERTY AND
AUTHORIZING THE RECORDING OF SAID DEED.
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, do resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, a certain Agreement was made and entered into on August 7, 1944, by and
between the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, a Political :Subdivision, therein
designated as First Party, and the City of Huntington Beach, a municipal corporation, therein
designated as Second Party, and
WHEREAS, said First Party agreed to:�sell and Second Party agreed to buy certain
tax deeded property which had prior thereto been deeded to the State of California for the
non-parent of County taxes and to the City of Huntington Beach for the non.jayoent of City
t axes, and
. WHEREAS. said Agreement was aomeaved August 22. 1944. by the State Controller.
Harry B. Riley, and
WHEREAS, said property was thereafter advertised to be sold to Second Party and
certain portions of said property -were thereafter redeemed, and
WHEREAS, a deed is about to be executed by Don S. Motley, as Tax Collector'of the
County of Orange, in accordance with said agreement, covering those certain parcels of pro-
perty hereinafter described.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that C. R. Furr, City Clerk of the City of Huntington
Beach, be, and he is hereby authorized to accept that certain deed from Don S. Mozley, as Tax
Collector of the County of Orange, to the City of Huntington Beach, a municipal corporation,
covering the hereinafter described property and to cause the same to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Orange, State of California.
Said property is described as follows:

FIRST AMERICAN TITLE INSURANCE & TRUST COMPANY, a California corporation, herein called the
Company, for a valuable consideration paid for this policy, the number, the effective date, and amount of
which are shown in Schedule A, hereby insures the parties named as Insured in Schedule A, the heirs,
devisees, personal representatives of such Insured, or if a corporation, its successors by dissolution, merger
or consolidation, against loss or damage not exceeding the amount stated in Schedule A, together with costs,
attorneys' fees and expenses which the Company may become obligated to pay as provided in the Conditions
and Stipulations hereof, which the Insured shall sustain by reason of:
1. Any defect in or lien or encumbrance on the title to the estate or interest
covered hereby in the land described or referred to in Schedule C, existing
at the date hereof, not shown or referred to in Schedule B or excluded from
coverage in Schedule B or in the Conditions and Stipulations; or
2. Unmarketability of such title; or
3. Any defect in the execution of any mortgage shown in Schedule B securing
an indebtedness, the owner of which is named as Insured in Schedule A, but
only insofar as such defect affects the lien or charge of said mortgage upon
the estate or interesT referred to in this policy; or
4. Priority over said mortgage, at the date hereof, of any lien or encumbrance
not shown or referred to in Schedule B, or excluded from coverage in Schedule
B or in the Conditions and Stipulations, said mortgage being shown in Sched-
ule B in the order of its priority;
all subject, however, to the Conditions and Stipulations hereto annexed, which
Conditions and Stipulations, together with Schedules A, B, and C are hereby made
a part of this policy.
