THIS INDENTURE, dated the ay of I950, between 176
HUNTINGTON BEACH COMPANY, a corporation, First P)7, and STAANDASD OIL COMPANY OF
CALIFORNIA, a corporation, Second Party, hereinafter called "Grantors," and CITZ
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, a municipal corporation, Third Party, hereinafter called
"Grantee,"
W I T N E S S E T H;
WHLtEAS, First Party, is the owner of that certain parcel of land hereinafter
described, subject to a certain agreement of lease dated September 2, 1920, as modi-

predecessor in interest of Second Party herein;
N o w, T h e r e f o r e, Grantors, each with respect to itk title and
interest and for and in consideration of the am of
money of the United States, to them in hand paid by GranteT'at er eipt% whereof is hereby
acknowledged, do, by these presents, grant, bargain, sell, and coney unto Grantee,
its successors and assigns, all that certain parcel of land situate in the County of
Orange, State of California, and bounded and particularly described"as".1611ows, to—wit:
Commencing at the intersection of the North line of 17t1f1�# se�a
on the map of Tract No. 12, recorded in 9/13 Miscellaine6xis°Napa$,Orazige
County, with the westerly line of the Southern Pacific $ai,1 's
R/W as shown on said map; thence West along the North lin ,4-firgl eet
203.95 feet; thence North 48° 41t West along aline 74 feet/4 hegaterly
from and parallel to the Northeasterly line of Block 2001 of� said' Tract
No. 12, 91.60 feet; thence South 73° 101 23" East 54.60 Net; thence North
82° 201 15" East 222.47 feet to a point in the westerly line of the
Southern Pacific Railway Company's R/W and thence southerly along said
R/W 74.33, feet to the point of beginning;
subject to rights-of-ray, easements, and other matters appearing of record.
EXCEPTING, however,and reserving to Grantors, their successors and assigns
all minerals, petroleum,asphaltum, Brea, oil, gas and other hydrocarbon substances
in, upon or under, or that may, be produced from the land hereinabove described,
together with the sole and exclusive right to drill slanted wells from adjacent lands
into and through the subsurface of the land hereinabove described for the purpose of
recovering said minerals and substances therefrom or from other properties; provided,
however, that Grantors, their successors and assigns, shall not use the surface of
the land hereinabove described for the exploration, development, extraction or
removal of said minerals or;substances from said land or from other properties.

Together with all and singular, the tenements, hereditaments and appur-
tenances thereunto and belonging., or in anywise appertaining, and remainder and
remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereon, subject, however, to the foregoing
covenants, restrictions, exceptions and reservations.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, all and singular, the said land with the appurtenances,
subject to the foregoing covenants, restrictions, exceptions and reservations, unto

AUTHORIZING THE RECORDING OF SAID DZEED. -e -o
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach! California,
does resolve as follows.
That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach.. Californias
hereby accepts that certain deed from HUNTINGTON BEACH COMPANY.. a
corporation, and STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIAs a corporations
to the gITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, a municipal corporations covering
property hereinafter described; and John L. Henricksen, City Clerks
is hereby authorized and directed to cause said deed to be recorded
in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California,
Said property being described as fol;aws:
All that certain parcel of land situate in the County
of Oranges State of Californian and bounded and
particularly described as follows.. to wit:
