Board of Trustees of the city -- eeting , of Huntington Beach was called to order at 7.30 P,Moby President Helme . Roll Call . Trustees present, Helme , Tarbox , Chapin, Decker , --- Absent , Huston, 1rlinutes , Minutes of February meetings read and approved. Reports . Reports: from Building Insipector , Recorder , City Clerk , and City Treasurer were presented and read and it was - - moved by Trustee Tarbox , seconded by Trustee Decker that - reports be accepted and placed on file . Carried . Trustee Huston arrived , - -- Corixi�ittee Committed on:Olatrt.Sys.t6i ::repoxte,d:as,..foll.ows ; 'Report on The Huntington Beach Corr�pany sets price on �'�ater System Attorney - 4- Purchase of and the Water front from Second to Sixth Street at $160,000 , instructed tc water System, the price on Water System being 4105,000. 00 and on Ocean prepare Ordinar --- Front ,�55,000.00, The H. B. Co. will not sell one at this amending price unless the city will take them both . Ordinance N.0 ,4 There being quite a few citizens present the following expressed their views on the subject at request of the Crossing - President of the Poard: E. E. Frehch ; T. R . Talbert , signals H. L. Heffner, J. A. Armitage , C. W. Warner , L. R. 'Whitney , again -- and Trustee R. H. Chapin. It was moved by Trustee - brought up. Tarbox seconded by Trustee Chapin that the report be accepted I and- the matter be taken up at some future time . Carried . City Manager , The City 111'anager reported on the petition .of F. M. -- Racorr:r�.ends . Brunton to have Gas piped to his house that it would not be Reducing a paying proposition , not even paying interest on the invest- Adjourned to --- - Gas rates . ment , The City Managerralso re0ori;mended that the ' rate for i 1-'Arch 19 . gas be reduced to $1 .25 per thousand feet for the first ------- two thousand feet as charged at present . It Was moved by Trustee Tarbox seconded by Trustee Chapin that th*rreport - --- be accepted and that the City Attorney be instructed Approved . to draw up an Ordinance amending O"rdinance No. 175 "Fixing President Gas Rates" in conformity wi.th the recommtndation of, the City 16f H- --- City Manager. Carried . Calt Pendleton Application of Pendleton and Melton for permit for and Melton . License to conduct a Pool Room, Cigar Store and Barber - _ Shop , was presented and it was moved by Trustee Chapin seconded by Trustee Tarbox that request be granted . Carried . . �s Communication from Attorneys Williams and Rutan in re/ - - - and Rutan, drainage water on land of W. S. thomson and it was moved in re/ by Trustee Tarbox seconded by Trustee Chapin that the - drainage water matter be referred to The City Attorney and City Manager, T. S. Thomson. Carried . -- City Gas Pill . Bill of Gas Dept , for' Gas for Feb . �9 .95 was presented -. Paid, and it was moved by Trustee Tarbox seconded by Trustee Decker that 09 .95 be transferred from the General Fund to the Gas Dept in payment of the bill.
