Regular Board of Trustees of the city of Huntington Beach met Chapin, meeting , in regular session and was called to order by President Helme - of the sub-diviah at 8 oclo.ok P. TA. 3.rri ed . Roll call .- Trustees present H&(Ime , Decker , Huston, Chapin and Tarbox n Ave . was Absent None . was heard Reports of Reports of Building Inspector, City Recorder , City Officers . Treasurer and City Clerk were presented and read and it was moved by Trustee Huston seconded by Trustee Chapin that the reports be accepted and placed on file . Carried . Cot mfrom ion Communication from -the R. R. Cor:mission to President from Helme , asking that the application be made for the opening j R . R. Comm . of other streetd crossings over the S. P. Right -Of-way so that they could be taken up at the same time as the hearing Application on the application of the County and City for the crossing - for Grade on Clay Street and the City Attorney presented the applicatin crossings . in form ready for the signature of the President of the Board Resolution also a Resolution to be passed by the Board authorizing the President to sign said- application for crossings air -' No . 311 . Indianapolis and Memphis Streets , Magnolia and Acacia Avenues Authorizing On motion by Trustee Tarbox seconded by Trustee Decker President to the Resolution giving- the President the necessary authority sign was passed and adopired by the following vote: j petition. Error ville Communication from the Town of Emeryville in regard to Y a bill pending in the Assembly compelling cities employing a � wished paid fire department and who are incorporated under the gen- protest eral laws of the state to establish the Two Platoon system City,'Clerk . against and asking this city to protest against the passage of the - Assembly proposed law on the ground that it interfered with local bill self government and further that it would work a hardship -- No. 1380 , small cities by doubling the expense of their Fire Dept . Fire Fighting facilities and establish 'a paid department and / it was moved by Trustee Chapin seconded by Trustee Tarbox that the Board of Trustees of the city of Huntington Beach go on record as protesting against the passage of Assembly HS Bill No . 1380. Motion was put and carried. Gas Bill for the city hall was presented and it was City Hall moved by Trustee Tarbox seconded by Trustee Decker that 10.05 -- Gas Hill . Ten Oad 05/100 Dollars be transferred from the General to the 10 .05 Gas Department Fund in payment of the gas bill for March. -- Carried. Mr. darner appeared before the Board for the Tent City — Tent City Co . Company to ask that street lights be placed at llth and want s c it y Magnolia, 13t h and Magnolia, 12t h and Orange and 12t h and to install Acacia to light the entrances .to the Camp Ground and it was street moved by Trustee Tarbox , seconded by Trustee Decker that the light s . matter be referred to the City Manager to report back at the _ next meeting .
