Regular Board of Trustees met in Regular session and was called meeting . t o Order by President Vavra. Roll call . Trustees present , Vavra, Decker , banning, Chapin, Drew. Absent None . Minutes Minutes of previous meetings read and approved. approved . Reports of Reports of Clerk ., Treasurer , Street Supt . Poundmast er , Officers . Gas Dept . Forester , 'Building & Plumbing Inspector & Recorder i were read and on motion were accepted and ordered filed . ` Report of Report of South Coast Improvement Association was pre-- S,C o Imp.As . sent ed and read . Accepted and ordered placed on file . Henry Brooks Application of Henry Brooks for position of Life Guard employed as was presented and Bit motion by Trustee Manning seconded by Life Guard , Trustee Chapin that Henry Brooks be employed as Life Guard for the months of June , July, August and Sept . at a salary of $75.00 per month was put and carried . Trustee Decker was excused at this time . Reso ,#324 Resolution No . 324 of Intention to close certain streets closing part and alleys was presented and read and on motion by Trustee Yorktown & Drew seconded by Trustee Chapin was passed and adopted by the St s & alleys following vote: Block 1014. Ayes , Trustees Manning , Chapin, Drew and Vavra. Noes , None . Absent , Decker . (Resolution ref erjs to Yorktown St . & Block 1014. ) I Ord .-#199 Ordinance No . 199, amending paragraph "N" of Bed . 1 of Amendment ordinance No . IT. was read for .the first' time . l Ord.j200 . Ordinance No . 200 , amending Bection 2 of Ordinance No . 1 Amendment . was read for the first time . Report on Engineer Sumner submitted a report on Septic Tank and Septic Tank Outfall sewer , found that tank did not need pumping out but and Sewer . that lower end of Sewer and the Outfall should be flushed and it was agreed that flushing would be done Saturday and Mr. Sumner promised to he here . - May loth . Rest Room . Matter of seats and mirroe in Ladies Rest room was brot Seat s & up and it was moved by T rust ee Drew seconded by Trmst ee Chapin Mirror. put and carried that the Street Supt . be authorized to put in some seats and a mirror . Snyder as Motion was made by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Man-- Supt , of ning that F. L. Snyder be appointed Supt .' of Gas and Sewers Gas & Sewers . with a salary of $125.00 per month. Carried. Manning & Cha- President Vavra appointed Trustees Manning and Chapin pin,Com.on as Committee on Gas . & Sewers . Gas & Sewers , -------------- (Suggestion, change name of Wesley Ave .to Quincy.) Reso . 325 Resolution No . 325 declaring the weeds a nuisance and Weeds . the intention of the city to abate said nuisance and setting adopt ad . the 2nd day of June, 1919 , as the date upon which protests will be heard to such abatement ; was presented and read and on motion by Trustee Chapin seconded by Trustee Manning was passed and adopted by the following vote: Ayes , Trustees Manning , Chapin, Drew and Vavra. Noes , None, Absent Decker . X Olmsted & Gill City Clerk was instructed to write to Engineering firm elen to be of Olmsted and Gillelen and ask what action is being taken hurried up on East Side Water System matter and try to hurry them up . I` In regard to the matter of Requisitions for supplies , t Requisitions , it was decided to modify the action of April 7th in certain Clerk to particulars and it was moved by Trustee Drew, seconded by r countersign . Trustee Chapin that the motion of April 7th, 1919 , be amended so as to provide that the Requisitions be signed by the Head of the Department wishing the supplies and countersigned by the City Clerk , Original to be attached to Invoice by Merchant i and Duplicate to be left in the office of the City Clerk .
