Pursuant to adjournment of Dec . 1st , 1919 . the Board of Trustees met in regukar session. Roll call . Trustees present , Vavra,Andrews ,Manning ,Chapin & Drew. Absent None . Bids opened This being the date set for the opening of bids for material for material for the Gas System the Clerk was instructed to open the bids received. Gas System . The following firms had submitted bids: Thos . Haverty and Co . 11. S. Cast Iron Pipe . & Foundry Co . f Referred to General Fire Extinguisher Co, all of which were of too Engineers for complicated a nature to be readily analyzed and it was I. moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Manning that the i analysis . bids for materials be referred to M Mr. Berkley for ".I analysis and report December 15th . Carried . Storm Drain. The City Engr .. made a report on Storm drain across St .Suet .t o Ocean Avenue at the intersection with Main St . recommending construct . that a Concrete Culvert be constructed to connect with connect with the Storm Sewer on the S. W. side of Ocean Ave . and to be 12 x 56 inches and it was moved by Trustee Man- ning seconded by Trustee Andrews that the Street Supt . be authorized to construct ,by force account , the Culvert as recommended by the City Engineer . Carried . Attorney to Moved by Trustee Chapin seconded by Trustee Manning 1 secure abstract . that the City Attorney be authorized to secure Abstract of Title of certain property located within the City Limits . Carried . Gen.Gas Lt .Co . Clerk introduced an invoice from the General Gas Light Invoice Co . of Kalamazoo, Mich. accompanied by a letter from 'same , 65.55 to for 48 Lamp Globes which they claimed to have shipped the be paid. City in Apl . 1918 , no record could be found in the books of the Gas Dept . but a Freight receipt was located covering a similar shipment and no .record of the material ever having -been paid for, and it was moved by Trustee Chapin seconded by Trustee Manning that the bill of General Gas Light Co . $65.55 be paid out of 1918 Funds . Carried i Urinals . Manning to Subject of Urinals in comfort station under pier was estimate introduced and was referred to Trustee Manning for estimate cost . of cost to put in sanitary condition. + City Engr .. Moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Chapin that Protection the Clerk be instructdd to write to the City Engr . for his Piles of recommendation on the protection from sand erosion of the Pier. Concrete Piles of the pier, Carried . Executive Moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Manning that i the Board go into executive session. Carried . Asst .Cashr . Reassembled Gas Dept . Moved by Trustee Manning seconded by Trustee Andrews ` that Chas . R. Nutt be made Asst Cashier of the Gas Dept at a salary of $25.00 per month. Carried . Demands Moved by Trustee. Chapin seconded by Trustee Manning that allowed. the Demands pibtoved by the Finance Committee be allowed, i Carried , I Demands as follows : , ! C. R. Sumner , $105.12 H. B. Co. 8.25 C. E.
