1920 was called to order at 7.50 P. M.
Roll call , Trustees presant , Vavra , Andrews,Manning , Chapin and
Drew; Absent , None.
Opening of This being the date set for the opening of bids for the �
bids for the Improvement of Delaware Ave . Frankfort to Joliet Ste . by the U II
-Lmprovement Construction of Concrete Curbing and the Grading and f inishr
Delaware ing of the sidewalk space , the Clerk presented the following
Avenue • two -bids which were opened and read to the Board:

tract for bid of J. E. Brunton was the lowest and the Roard being sat is-
improving fied as to the responsibility and character of the bidder
Delaware Ave , the following Resolution J343 was adopted: Manning-Chapin.
I Resolved that all bids for the improvement of Delaware
Ave • Frankfort to Joliet St s , by the construction of a Con-
Crete Curbing and the Grading and finishing of sidewalk space
I be rejected except that of J . E. Brunton whose bid be accept d
at prises given in bid.

appointed. as Geo . M. Taylor be appointed as City Marshal and Street
Marshal . -Superint endedt , to serve at. pleasure of the Board.

Administerdd City Clerk administered the oath of Office to Mr. Tay-

So.Cal.Edison The City Attorney advised the Board that the matter of
apply for the application of the - So. Cal. Edison Co . for an increase

League of the Chairman of the Board reported a meeting of the League
South-viest of the South-west ., in Los Angeles on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th
Poard, as of April and appointed the Hoard as a whole as a committee
comn,ittaa , to represent this municipality.
Henry Gibbs Mr. Gibbs , was present and asked if the City could not
desires gas . g6rvehihi. .m with gas , .Clerk reported that he had talked the �
matter over with the Supt .of Gas Dept . and explained the
sit-uation to the Board, Clerk was instructed to bring-the
matter again to the attention of the Supt .of Gas Dept and
have him endeavor to serve Mr. Gibbs.
4.
License Ord . The matter of License Ordinance was discussed at some
Clerk to length and it was moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee
secure Manning that the City Clerk communicate with the Clerks of
copies , Santa Ana, Long Beach, Pasadena, Whittier , Newport , Covina,
and other cities in Southern Calif . a request for copy of
the License Ordinance in . effect in their cities. Carried.
