Resolution of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Huntington Beach, expressing theH heartfelt
sympathy of the Board and employees of the City, -to the
City Clerk in his hour of sorrow and tribulation.

WHEREAS, It has pleased Almighty Cod, in his infinite
wisdom, to, remove from our midst, urs. t�;innie Bond Mutt, the !�
beloved wife and companion of our esteemed City Clerk, Chas. R.
� Nutt, and
2XRRHQ$, Mrs. Minnie Bond Nutt has been active in many
civic enterprises and improvements and her removal is deeply felt
by the community, and
. I-7HEREAS, our hearts go out in sympathy to our esteemed ! I
- co-worker, in whom we ,have unbounded confidence and highest, regard; i
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, -by the Board. of Trustees
of the City of Huntington }Beach
That we,, as Iembers of the Governing body of the City,
j for ourselves and on behalf of the other officials -and employees,
! in token of our sincere heartfelt sympathy and our memory of the
wonderful, unselfish wife and. mother whom the Great Creator, in his !
infinite wisdom has removed from the cares and troubles of this
i transitory life, extend to our City Clerk our heartfelt sympathy
in the loss of his beloved wife and companion, and in this hour of
sorrow and tribulation we call to mind that "He who seeth the sparrow
fall, doeth all things well" and we hope that he will find consol-
ation in the Great Promise which. dispels the gloom of death, that
after we have all passed through this vale of tears we shall meet
f again on that Great Shore which Lows no parting.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,. that in further token of our
sympathy and respect, that the City Hall 'of the City of Huntington
Beach be closed at 12.00 o°cl.ock noon on Thursday the eighth day of !
April, in the year of our Lord one thoudand nine hundred twenty.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
be forwarded to our City Clerk, Charles R. Mutt, and that a copy be
spread on the minutes of the records of this meeting as a permanent
record.
Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, this 'nth day of April, 1920, at a
special meeting called for the purpose.
