Engineers Report of the City Engineer on the .various bids recid
J report on for the paving of the Alleys in Blocks 104, 205 & 204,
bids for finding that the bid of the Coast Concrete Co, was the
Iu.proving lowest and recommending that the Contract be awarded to them
Alleys . and it was moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Obarr ,
Awarded t o that all bids for the improvement of the Alleys in Blocks ,
Coast Concreto104, 205 and 204 be rejected except the one hereinafter named
Company o and that the Contract be awarded to the Coast Concrete ,. Davy '
and Kelner at the price named in their bid, t o-vrit : -
Paving as per specifications , 19_-�O per sq. ft .-

Laundry Corcmiitte of Chamber of Corimierce in reference to License
License to bo on Laundry Wagons and Solicitors was presented by Mr. Cope-
Invest iga.tod,land, matter was deferred for investigation. y
Life Guard . Mr. Anderson of the H. B. Co. presented the matter of
Life Guard requesting that the City pay $25. toward the
salary of their Plunge Guard, which was on motion laid on
table until- next meeting . ;
Concerts for Communication from the H. B. Amusement Co . in regard to ,I,
i season, music for the summer offering to furnish as many concerts as r�
` the City desired at 1100.00 each. and it was moved by T rust e e ,
Drew seconded by Trustee Obarr that the matter be referred to
the Chamber of Commerce for recommendation. Carried.

Pet it ion .for Petition from Property owners on Second St . was again
Grading brought up and it was moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trus-
Second St . tee Obarr that the City Engineer be instructed to commence !!
proceedings to grade 2nd St . Ocean Ave. to Lake St , Carried .
F Ire Proof Mr. Beggs made a verbal proposition to take from the
5ai Q sane City the three safes now in use allowing $300.00 on them in
payment for a large safe cabinet for $849.50 to be paid in u�
j monthly installments of $71 .50 .

Tabled to be Trustee Andrews moved that the proposition be tabled �.
Investigated . until prices could? be obtained from other sources , motion
was seconded by Trustee Onson, was put and carried , Trustee
Drew voting No.
