Engineer j . M. Berkley made a verbal report of progress

verbal rept Board to meet weekly to help the Contractor.

City Engineer suggested that petition be' held until owners on
Second Street be asked if they would come in; no action was 1

ordinance No. 210 being an ordinance providing for the
License Ord. licensing and regulating bNe carrying on of certain businesses
210 within the city was read for the second time and on motion
aadgpted0 was passed and adopted by the following vote:
Ayes, Trustees 0nson, Obarr, Drew, Manning.
Noes, None. Absent Andrews .
Communication from the Coast Construction Co. asking;
Af'ml stt_ce Day that9heybe allowed until Dec. 15, to proceed with the +
Celebration. paving of alleys in Blocks 104, 203 & 204- was read and the
H. B. g3and° Engineers advised that the alleys would be ready for him
by that date. !
Kilmer to Mr. McDonald of the Jos. Rodman Post of the Americans j t.
proceed on Legion appeared before the Board to ask assistance for the
alleys proper recognition of Armistice Day, Nov .11th and it was

Huntington Beach Band be employed for the parade bill to be ,
j turned inX to the city to be paid out of the Music & Promo-

H. L. Doss desiring to resign as City Electrician it
Electrici-an. was moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Unson that
his resignation be accepted and Frank Iluskinson be appointed
to the position. Carried.
Spur track Petition from the Standard '0il Co- for franchise to
across cross Ocean Ave beyond 23rd St: with a spur track from the
Ocean Ave. Pao. El: Ry. was. referred to the City Attorney.
Damard Moved by Trustee .Obarr seconded by Trustee Dreg that
allowed. R. F. Wares Demand for $733,00 be allowed. Carried.
