Regular. Board of Tmudbes met in regular session and called to
< order by President Manning.
Roll call. Trustees present Manning, Obarr, Onson, Andrews Drew/. � .
Mr. Berkley Reular order of business deferred to hear report from
makes verbal Mr. Berkley, Engineer of Gas System; Mr. Berkley made verbal
report, also report as to completion of Contract by R. F. Ware and ad-

Mr-Derkley to Mr. Berkley also advised that there were some bills
lewd aid in still,outstanding against R. F. Ware but all safely covered
selling Gas by the 25% of Contract price still withheld from Ware, he
to Oil Co&. also advised that if the Trustees were willing he would
continue to give his services toward the furnishing of Gas
to the Oil Wells.

Minutes approvd. Minutes of March meetings read and on motion by Trus-
tee Obarr seconded by Trustee Onson were approved as read.

Officers repts. Clerk then -read reports- of Treasurer, Clerk, Recorder , 1
accepted & Electrician, Building & Plumbing inspector, Engineer and
filed. Supt of Gas Dept. and City Engineers which were accepted and
ordered placed.- on file by motion by Trustee Obarr seconded
by Trustee Onson.
Complaint of Mrs. W. R. Higgins and Mrs. Mervin asked to be heard and
speeding Autos. told the Board of the danger to children crossing Main Street II �
from speeding Autos the drivers of which appeared to have no
regard to City Ordinances, no action was taken the whole mat®
ter being in the hands of the new- City Marshal.
Finances too Mr. L. W. Tozier again presented the matter of Band i .
short to Concerts and after consulting over the Financial situation
Finance Band. the Board reported that they could not see their was to
finance the concerts at the present time.
Compton's re- R. D. Compton presented request for permission to put
quest for per- card tables in his pool room and it was moved by Trustee
mit to have Drew seconded by Trustee Andrews that the matter be taken un-

Carried.
Boxing con- In regard to Mr. Woodruff's request for permission to
tests not en- conduct boxing contests and it ' «as moved by Trustee Drew,
couragedo seconded by Trustee Andrews that the request be not granted.

S. P. Co°s To the S. P. Co' s request for franchise for the spur
request for tract: crossing Acacia Avenue to the Union Oil Co's supply
Franchise. station it was moved by Trustee Andrews seconded by Trustee
Obarr that the franchise be granted. Carried.
Attorney presented coimunication from Assbl man Eden

& Representatv. Cities of the Sixth Class and it was moved by Trustee Obarr
seconded by Trustee Onson that Attorney be. instructed to i
wine Assemblyman and Representative to oppose the measure.
