4 April 18, 1921.
Regular. Board of Trustees met pursuant to adjournment of
April 11th, 1921.
Roll call. Trustees all present.
City Marshal, Tinsley puesented the matter 6f Autos
Marshal on being driven recklessly on the principal streets of the town
Auto re gulation. and the number of accidents that were occurring and asked
Officer to be that a Motor Officer be employed and it was moved by Trus--
employed. tee Drew seconded by Trustee Andrews that the Marshal be
empowered to employ a Speed Cop. Carried.
Globes on Pier City Electrical Inspector Warner stated that there
to be same as were one or two globes broken on Pier, that clear glass
old. globes could be secured here at from $2.00 to $2.50 and
opalescent would cost around $4.00 asked if they should
save the difference, it was the sense of the Board that
as there was but little breakage that the new globes be
same as old ones.
A request was presented by the
]Franchise for franchise to cross Park, Utica and 17th Streets with R
granted. a pipe line and it was moved by Trustee Drew seconded by-
Trustee Obarr that permit be granted provided the crossing
of 17th street was done by tunneling. , Carried.
City of Communication was presented from City of Alameda
Alameda. rreferrd in regard to annexation of Municipalities which on
to Attorney. motion by Trustee Obarr senonded by Trustee Drew was referred
to the City Attorney.
Obnoxious bill In the matter of bill before Legislature in regard -
reported killd. to the recession of undivided acreage from Municipali® -
ties, City Attorney advised that he had wired represent-
atives Hart & Eden and the bill was Filled. -
Matter of Flood City Attorney also brought up the matter of an amend-
ControI42 ment to the Constitution that has been recommended by the
City Attorneys Assn in regard to the power of political-
bodies joining together or with the Federal Government
in the matter of Flood Control, etc. -
Attorney directed Moved by Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee Onson that
to draw Ord. City Attorney be instructed to draw up an ordinance prohib-
regulating the iting the erection of buildings within ten (10) feet of the
construction property line on Fifth Street.
on 5th St. Motion Carried, Trustee Drew voting "Norm �
Petition filed. The above actions was taken because of the filing of
a minority petition asking for the widening of Fifth Street,
Card Tables Matter of granting permission to place Card Tables in
Turned Down. Pool Rooms was brought up by the President of the Board and
Trustee drew again made motion that failed to carry at last
meeting, that Permit be not granted, this was seconded by
Trustee Andrews; a Roll call was requested and the vote
was Ias follows:
Ayes, Trustees Obarr, Andrews and Drew.

Adjo 4/25/21. Moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Obarr that
f Poundmasters salary be fixed at $15.00 per month, Carried.-
Moved by Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee Onson to
adjourn to Monday April 25th, 1921, 8 oclock P. Mm_
