Regular. Board of Trustees met in regular session.
Roll call. Trustees present, Running, Obarr, Onson and Drew,
Absent, Andrews.
Minutes alproved. Minutes of April meetings read and approved.
Fin. Coyne Trustee Obarr appointed on Finance Corinnittee protein.

Officers Reports of Officers. Treasurer, Clerk, -building and
Reports. Plumbing Inspector, 17i.ring Inspector, Recorder?,
Engineer and Superintendent of Gas Department, and on
.motion by Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee Onson were,. j
accepted and ordered placed on file. 1

Marshals City Marshal and Supt.. 'of Streets made verbal
report. report as follows: Thirty-eighth Street was poseted
by- the Huntington Beach Company as being private prop-
erty and, acting as. Deputy Sheriff with the support of
the District Attorney outside of the City Limits, he R
had removed the sign and also as City Marshal tool:
down sign inside of.City Limits; also reported that
he had granted permission to the Standard Oil Co. to
oil Twenty-third Street.
Officers to Moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Onson
reside in that all salaried employes shall live within the In-
City. corporated Limits of the City of Huntington Reach.
Carried.
Application for Conmiunication from Joe Livernash applying for
position as the position of Life Guard but not at less salary
Life Guard. than $150.00 per month, and it was moved by Trustee
Drew seconded by Trustee Obarr that the application
be taken under advisement. Carried.
Shank resigns Resignation of Dr. G. A. Shank of the position
Health Officer. of 'Health-Officer of the City to take effeht on "lay
31st, 1921. and it was moved by Trustee Drew seconded
by Trustee Obarr that resignation be accepted. Carrie..
Paving prom Moved by Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee Onson .-
ceedings to that City Engineer be instructed to commence proceed®
commence. ?ngs to pave Walnut Avenue, 3rd Street to 17th Street,
Third Street from Ocean Avenue to Lake Avenue, Lake '
Avenue from Third Street to magnolia Avenue, and the
Alleys in Blocks 104, 105, 203 and 204. Carried.
