g Pursuant to adjournment of May 2nd the Board of Trustees
met in regular session and was called to order at 8 oclock p.m.
Roll call. Trustees present Manning, Obarr and Onson.
Absent, Andrews and Drew.
i Ord. 215 Q Ordinance No. 215 being an ordinance amending a portion
Parking. of Ordinance No. 207 governing the parking of vehicles was
read for the second time and on motion by Trustee Obarr secondei
by Trustee Onson was passed and adopted by_ the following vote:
Ayes, Trustees Obarr, Onson and Manning,
Noes, None.
Absent, Andrews and Drew.
Trustee Andrews arrived at 8.15 P.M.
Stands on Written requests were received for permission to erect
Beach. stands on the beach were received from W. F. Sibley, G. W.
Granted Jacobs and J. W. Barlow to be used for refreshments and a
verbal request from J. R. Collins by Trustee Obarr for permit
to erect a Photograph stand and it was moved by Trustee Obarr
seconded by Trustee Onson that the requests be granted.
Carried.
Stand at _ Written request was read from Max Schenfield for permit
Main and to establish a soft drink stand at Loma Avenue on Main Street
Loma and it was moved by Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee Andrews
Refused that the permit be not granted.
Carried.
Offer to Communication from M. B. Stearns offering to sell the
sell City Hall to the City for $12,000.00 payable y2,000. 00 cash
City Hall bzl�nce covering a period of seven years and it was moved
by Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee Andrews that the matter
be taken under advisement. Carried.
Trustee Drew arrived at 8.25 p.m,
7th & 10th Engineer Sumner presented petition for the improvement
improvementof Seventh St. Ocean Avenue to Palm Ave, signed by owners
taken of 1302 feet of frontage and for the improvement of Tenth
under St. Ocean to Palm Avenues signed by owners of 300 ft. of
advisemt . frontage and it was moved by Trustee Andrews seconded by
Trustee Drew th-;t the matter be taken under advisement.
Carried.
Storm drain Engineer Sumner also reported on the storm drain
Ocean Av. for the East side of Main street crossing Ocean Avenue,
E. side that 18 inch Corrugated Iron pipe could be secured for
Main. about $1.87 per foot and the entire cost would be not over
$300.00
Bill Mr. Harnois of Santa Ana, proprietor of the Bill Boards
Boards. in this city was present and put up a talk for a reduction in
the license for maintaining such Bill Boards and quoted the
license rates of other cities in support of his request and
it was moved by Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee Andrews
that the matter be taken under advisement. Carried.
Miley Request for the City to approve an Agreement with
tka
Water lines. E. J. Miley, second party, granting the second party per-
mission to run a three inch water pipe along Utica Street
from the center line of Huntington Avenue to the west line
of Alabama .Avenue and onto Block 2001 and along Springfield
Street from the S. W. corner of Block 1901 to the N. W.
corner of Block 1803 with a two inch line and it was moved by
Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Onson that the President of
the Board be authorized to sign the Agreement. Carried.
C. of C. on Secretary Rogan of the Chamber of Commerce appeared
Coast before the Board requesting a letter endorsing the move of
Boulevarde, the C. of C. to induce the State Highway Commission to place
the Road Bonds on the market in order to complete the Coast
Boulevarde and it was moved by Trustee Drew seconded by

Trustee Obarr that the Clerk be instructed to write a lwtter
as from the Board of Trustees endorsing action. Carried.
Special Moved by Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee Drew that
Policeman. the City Marshal be empowered to employ a special policeman
to help take care pf conditions in the City, Carried.
Stenographer It was moved by Trustee Onson seconded by' Trustee An-
to help drews that the Committee working on the Building Ordinance
draft be empowered to employ a stenographer to help in drafting '
Building the said ordinance. Carried.
Ordinance.
Adj. to No further business appearing it was moved by Trustee
.� May 16. Onson seconded by Trustee Drew to adjourn to May Sixteenth
at 8 oclock P. M. Carrie .
