_ City Hall, Huntington Beach, Sept. 19, 1921 .

Regular. Pursuant to adjournment of September loth, 1921 the
Board of Trustees met in regular session.
Roll call. Trustees present Manning, Onson, i�ndrews & Drew.
Absent Obarr.
Fifth Street, Protests to the widening of Fifth Street, in writing,
were read by the Clerk, from the following owners of
property on said street : Nettie Gibbs; J. H. Farwell ;
S. G. Huff; Elizabeth Bullock; J. H. - Lawrence ; Tars. -
Wupperman; John McDowell, and verbal protests were made .
by Geo. Gardner and H. Kenagy. altogether representing
about 735 ft. of frontage . There was much discussion as
to the probable cost of the improvement and it was
moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Andrews that .
the matter be laid on the table for 30 days. The vote
on the motion was 2 and 2, Trustee Obarr being absent..
It was then moved by Trustee Onson, seconded by Trustee
Laid over to Drew that protests be denied, the vote on this motion
Sept. 26, 1921. was also 2 and 2, It was then moved by Trustee Drew
seconded by Trustee Onson that the matter be laid over .
until next Monday. Carried.
Engr. to make Shoved by Trustee Drew seconded by Trustee Onson that the
estimate of City Engineer be instructed to prepare estimate of ap- -
cost. proximate cost of widening Fifth Street and report at -
® the next meeting and the Clerk be instructed to Tele- -
phone the City Engineer and also write him and retain
a copy of his letter. Carried.
No action'. City attorney presented matter of Lease of City Hall ;
No action.
No action. City Clerk brought up matter of Tax Collector.
No action.
