City Hall, Huntington Beach, Cal, October 10y 1921•
Regular. Pursuant to adlournment of October 3rd, 1921.the Board met
in regular session.

Doll call. Trustees present Manning, Onson, Andres:rs and Drew.
Absent Obarr.
Com. re/ Rats- Communication from Jack McDonough calling the attention
appearing on of the Board to numerous rats on beach in vicinity of
Beach. Lunch concessions and Dance Hall and suggesting that
something be done to combat them before they over-rtn
the town. Matter referred to Health Department.
Com. from Mr. Communication from Mr. J. Me Berkley thanking the City
Berkley, Trustees and employes for their kind expression of
sympathy.
Liability Insurance Policy covering Police Patrol Auto and Fire Truck
! Insurance. indemntfying the City from Liability for bodily injury
i Fire & Police or death was accepted on motion by Trustee Drew seconded
j Machines. „ by Trustee Onson. �..
Clerk to Matter of Certified Check of Steele Finley which accom-
release check panied his bid on 2nd and other streets and alleys and
on fL ling of it was moved by Trustee Drew seconded by Tuustee Andrews,
bond. that the Clerk be instructed to release check upon filing
of bond approved by The City Attorney. Carried.

Tucks on Assess- W. T. Newland, A. W. Brown and C . R. Johnson appeared and
men.t values. made propest against assessed valuation of their acreage. s
Cover for H. V. Andreson of the Huntington Beach Co. appeared and askdd
Plunge. permission for his Company to construct a roof over the `
Plunge, roof to he built of wood and covered with roofing
and it was moved by Trustee Onson seconded by Trustee
Drew that permit be granted. 9 Carried.
Plan and cost City Engineer made report on-matter of building a landing

Boat landing. for boats .at the Pier, he advised a seperate construction
of wooden piling about 20 x 30 feet in dimensibms with
a groupe of 4 piles at each corner using in all about a K.
j 30 piles and the cost would be about $42800.00.
No action was taken.
Demands Moved by Trustee. Andrevis seconded by Trustee Onson that
allowed.. Demands approved by Finance Committee be allowed.Carried.
