Huntington Beach, June 10, 1922.
Regular, d Board of -Trustees met pursuant to adjournment of June 13th,
1922.
Roll call . Trustees present Drew, Macklin, Obarr, Onson and Andrews .
Absent None.
Architect. E. R. Jefferys of Jeffery & Schaefer, Architects was given
Attention by the Board.

Fire Truck to be Mr. Adams of Stutz Fire Engine Co. advised. the Board that.
advertised for. there would be a saving if Advertised for soon as Trusks
would be exhibited at San Francisco and the Companies I
would allow for the privilege; and it was moved by Trustee
Onson seconded by Trustee Andrews put and carried that
Clerk be instructed to advertise for 750 Gallon Triple
Combination Fire Engine as per specifications on file in
office of Chief of Fire Dept. bids to be accompanied by
Certified check in 10% of amount of bid.
Fire dose to be Clerk was also instructed to advertise for <1000 ft of 2 1/2 i
advertised for. inch Fire Hose as per specifications 6n file in office of
Fire Chief on motion by Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee
Macklin.
Comfort Sta. bads. The following bids were received for construction of Comfort
Station, opened and read by Clerk:
Ridenour Bros. Construction, $1750.00
Contracts awarded to James Cook, Construction, 1865.00
Ridenour and Manning. Ed Manning, Plumbing, 1200.00
and it was moved by Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee
Macklin$ put and carried that all bids for construction �
of Comfort Sta. be rejected except that- of Ridenour Bros._.,,.--14
to whom the contract be awarded at figure named in bid.

Fire Hydrants Fire Chief was instructed to have all necessary Fire Hydrants j

Ord. 240 Amend 210 . Ordinance No. 240 Amending Ordnance No. 210 providing for
]Licensing Tent shows livensing and regulating the carrying on of certain busi-

within the city. was read and on motion by Trustee Onson
seconded by Trustee Andrews passed and -adopted by the '

Bill Board turned Application of C. A. Harnois & Son for permission to re-
dbwn. erect a bill board was rejected on motion by Trustee
Andrews seconded by Trustee Onson.

Roll call, Trustees present without exception.

Plans of Boat R. Griffin, Boatman from Long Beach presented plans of
Landing. boat landing at Santa Monica and recommended the same
plan for use here. No action.
(The plan consists of a row of Bumper piling,70 ft long,
of 4 groups of 3 piles and 4 single piles, one single
pile between each of the end groupe and 2 between the
2 center grouper, this row is placed 7'3" easterly from
the easterly edge of pier deck, the piles tied together
with 3 x 12 planking bolted to the piles with 3/41' bolts;
and a hin ed gangway between the row of bumper piling and
the pier .
t Eisner of Walker & Mr. Eisner of Walker'& Eisner presented outline, of Contract
Eisner presents of employment as Architect for construction of City Hall
ioutline of contract.. and Auditorium, to be re-writen by City Attorney.
Accountant gives Representative of W. -B. Mitchell & Co. Public Accountants
figure for approval. was . present in regard to Auditing the City Books and made
a figure of $20. and $15. per day but not to exceed $800.-
for the work which consists of setting up a set of books
for the Gas System and it was moved by Trustee Obarr second
_0$ by Trustee Onson that the, matter be taken under advise-
ment. Carried. -
Alley Block 107. John Whitfield appeared in regard to the grade of alley in
Block 107 which has never been established agreed if city
would establish grade he woull pay half of cost of grad-
ing it down and it was moved by Trustee Macklin seconded Vy
Trustee Onson that Asst City gr. establish grade and
grade down the part that is tDo high and assess one-half
of the cost to Mr. Whitfield. Carried,
Ord 241. Sewers. Ordinance No. '241 prohibiting the use of sanitary sewers for
certain purposes was read for first time.
