On motion by. Trustee Obarr and seconded by Trustee Onson the City Attorney was directed to take the matter up and secur, a the additional protection offerede Maps for State Trustee Onson stated that, he had a verbal request f rom Highway' Comma Mr-Patch of the State High*ay Commisssion for Maps• and Ocean Ave. data conserving Ocean Avenue. Progress on City Attorney Blodget reported that he was preparing to F widening, 5th Street pubilsh notices to the property owners who cannot be lo.cated,in the Huntington Beach News August 25th. ' E Landscape Architect Trustee 11dacklin advised the Board that hes.ohad discussed for City Hall Groi.nds the plans of the City to erect a group of Municipal buildings with Mr.Wahl ,General Landscape -Arehi$ect of the Standard Oil Co-. ,who assured himthat he would be pleased to confer with the board if they so desired and give fit°rq the benifit of his wide experience gratis. Discussion of plan Preblde&tDbrew suggested a plan for financing the paving d to' fina:2ice paving of Deean Avenue and resurfacing Delaware and Seventeenth Ocua.n Ave ,.Delawa,re& Streets by bond issue in preferdnee to assessments on the 17th Street ground that the burden of expense could be divided equitably . basing the tax assessment according to benifit derived and consequent enhanced value.Another advantage in support of the plan was that Municipal bdnds would sell at a premium while Street Assessment bonds would probably have to be diseounted,and direct payment would secure lower "raid. Gates requested instruction , as to who was to furnish the material to replace that removed b y the Huntington Beach Company and Mr.Anderson being present stated that his Company would . supply the material if the City would fur nish the lai;or'.Mr.Gates stated the matter would be attended to at once.
