READ: by Trustee Obarr, seconded by Trustee llRacklin, ordered placed on ;I
file.
The following communications received: Protest against
PROTEST issuing permit for oil station to be conducted at the corner of
AGAINST OIL 6th and Olive Streets, signed by 20 property owners. In this

6th and Henry Lacabanne , owners, and P. W. Koontz, leasee , of the above
OLIVE STS. : mentioned property, requesting permit to cut the curb and put in
driveways for a proposed oil station. On motion of Trustee
Macklin, seconded by Trustee Dbarr, the City Clerk was instructed
to notify all persons interested in this matter to appear at 7:30 p.m.
r Tuesday, October 3rd, 1922, and- show cause why permit should not

Attorney Charles D. Swaner appeared in behalf of I.E.
GRANTING OF Litten, owner of the Avalon Pool Hall , urging the granting of
PERMIT TO RUN Mr. Litten' s requeet for permit to run a lunch counter in his
LUNCH COUNTER pool hall. On motion_ by Trustee Obarr, seconded by Trustee
IN POOL HALL: Andrews, it was moved that the application be returned to Mr.
Litten for revision, subject to the approval of the City Attorney.
Carried.

was read, making application for the position of City Engineer.
On motion of. Trustee .Macklin, seconded by Trustee Onson, the Clerk
was instructed to advise that the position of City Engineer is
being filled and therefore there exists no vacancy at this time ®
