It was decided to authorize the plumbing contractor to install this extra work at this time. The matter of substitution of toilet fixtures was discussed and as no samples had been shipped to con i tractor Iveanning, the decision was deferred until a later date. ! ! The matter of bond and contract for the electrical work awarded 1 4 R. E. McIntosh was brought up and the City Attorney advised he L would endeavor to have this matter attended to at once. The matter of providing drainage from the building foundation to the curb line for rain water was deferred until later. The subject of color scheme for city hall- and audito- rium was brought tzp by Superintendent' Stonerod who advised the architects retained an expert in this line and. suggested that his recommendations be taken. The Board , after some discussion_, decided to appoint a committee to pass on the architect's recom- mendations. After some discussion Trustee Orson was called to the chair and on motion by Trustee Andrews, seconded by President Drew, the Street Commissioner was instructed to investigate this request , with authority to act. A map of tract 349 , beinga sub-division within one and one-half miles 'of the city limits of Huntington Beach,' being �. located on Section 20 and 29 , Range 11 Vilest, Township 5 South, j S. B. Mo . was presented by County Surveyor Hilliard, and on motion i by Trustee Macklin, seconded by Trustee Onson, approval of the i Board was given. BIDS ON This being the time advertised for receiving bids for IPEW 01_.R FOR a 6-cylinder automobile for use of the Chief of Police , the only CHIEF POLICE: bid received was opened and declared by the Clerk as follows : t !� Hudson Speedster by Townsend & Medberry, Santa Ana, price 01770.00 � f.o.b. Huntington Beach,, with an allowance of $575.00 for the Dodge touring car, now used by Chief Tinsley. In view of the fact that there was only one bid received, on motion by Trustee Macklin, seconded by Trustee Onson, this bid was rejected, and II motion carried , authorizing Chief of Police 'Tinsley and Trustee Andrews to purchase a, car for the use of Chief of Police , at a price not to exceed $1770.00, securing the best ,poa.sible price for �! the Dodge touring car in exchange .
