REGULAR The regular meeting was called to order at 8 P.Id.
by President Drew. The Clerk being absent,
Trustee Onson was appointed to act as Clerk. �

and Drew. Absent, Trustees None .
The minutes for the month of Iilarch were read and on motion by Trustee Obarr, seconded by Macklin
same were approved as read.

IN RE, A communication from John H. Bartlett, First
Communications from Assistant Postmaster General was read advising
Rohr. H. Bartlett & that the local postoffice be given additional
Senator Shortridge allowance to improve the service. Also letter
relative to help in from Senator Shortridge with reference to the
local postoffice. same matter stating that he would use his best
efforts in behalf of this City. On motion of
Trustee Obarr, seconded by Trustee 14acklin these
communications were ordered placed on file.

Resolution #392 for April 23rd was read and the same was included
and made a part of these minutes. On motion by
Trustee Obarr, seconded by Trustee Macklin, resolution
Number 392 was adopted by the votes as shown on the
Resolution.
IN a Communication from the Fish and Game Committee {
Communication from addressed to Frank Schwartz, Secretary of the Chamber
Fish & Game Committee of Commerce was read with reference to the matter
relative to commercial of commercial fishermen operating off Huntington
fishing off Hunting- Beach. The matter was referred to the Chief of

of California , L-seembly Constitutional Amendments numbered Vo. 10
and 14o. 27 , the passage and adoption of either of which i,,iould de-
prive the several municipalities of this State from acquiring any
profit or revenue over cost, and expressly inhititing tY ie merger
of any revenue from the operation of pub"Lic utilities with the
general funds, and
IMEREAS, By reason of the inadequacy of the revenues that
can be derived from a limited rate of taxation, many of the Towns
and Cities of the State derive and ezmploy the profits of their
